This is why I do what I do.
I still have the video from the fur farm, the day Mikayla chose these two sisters for me. They were painfully thin, absolutely terrified, and their eyes carried more trauma than any animal should ever know.

Now look at them. Curled up together, safe enough to close their eyes, finally knowing peace. These two hold such a special place in my heart, and seeing them like this makes every sacrifice worth it.

I will never stop giving everything I have to these animals. They deserve to know that life can be gentle, love can be trusted, and they will never have to be afraid again. 🤍

Just paid for our fox shelter and I AM SO EXCITED, you guys!! 🦊😭❤️

We’ve also officially purchased our generator, quarantine pens for inside the shelter, exam table, and metal shelving! We’ll be moving our deep freezer out there as well and adding another refrigerator for food, medications, and supplies.

The shelter pictured is just the model, we’ve made a few changes to ours, including changing the color, so the finished building will look a little different. We should have it here in about four weeks!

I seriously cannot wait to share this entire project with you guys and show you every step as it comes together. Seeing something we’ve talked about, planned for, and dreamed about finally becoming REAL is such an incredible feeling. 🥹

This is going to give our foxes a safe place during severe weather, dedicated quarantine space, a proper area for exams and medical care, and so much more.

It’s officially happening. Our foxes are getting their shelter. 🦊🏡❤️

I’ll be sharing updates as everything arrives and the build comes together. I cannot WAIT for you guys to see it!!!

‼️BIG NEWS FOR SALTY FOX SANCTUARY‼️

We are incredibly honored and excited to announce that we have officially partnered with the SPCA International and because of their generosity, Salty Fox Sanctuary is getting a hurricane shelter! 🦊❤️

Living in Florida means hurricane season is something we must prepare for every single year. With 27 residents depending on us, having a secure, climate-controlled space where every animal can be safely housed during severe weather is not simply a luxury, it is absolutely vital.

This new space will include:

🦊 Safe emergency housing for ALL of our residents
🏥 A dedicated medical and vetting area
🚪 Three quarantine pens
📦 Much-needed storage space
❄️ Climate control to keep everyone safe and comfortable

The total cost of this project is approximately $20,000, and that is no small gift. We are overwhelmed with gratitude that the SPCA recognized this need and chose to invest in the safety, health and future of our sanctuary residents.

Right now, we are waiting for the funding to be released, which should happen any day now! Once it arrives, we will be making the actual big purchase, and we cannot wait to bring all of you along for every step of this journey.

We plan to video blog the entire process, from making the purchase and preparing the property to delivery, setup and the final transformation. You will get to watch this incredible project come to life right alongside us! 🎥🏠🦊

This shelter will give us something truly priceless: peace of mind. When the next storm comes, we will know that every fox in our care has a secure place to go.
