We are honored to share that the York County Coalition on Homelessness was recently recognized through Bell Socialization Services, Inc. Good People Initiative. Coalition Coordinator Kelly Blechertas accepted this recognition on behalf of the Coalition, but the staff team knew immediately that this work is only possible because of the many partners who show up every day to support our community.
In the spirit of the Good People Initiative, the Coalition staff chose to spread that recognition forward by honoring three outstanding partners whose dedication makes a meaningful difference in the lives of York County residents:
๐ Dr. Lori Bowman, York City School Districtโ For her unwavering commitment to supporting students and families experiencing homelessness and housing instability, and for helping ensure that children have access to the resources and stability they need to succeed.
๐ Annie Camillo, York County Prison โ For her efforts to connect individuals with services, treatment options, and community supports both during incarceration and as they prepare to return to the community.
๐ The team at York Opioid Collaborative (Collective Response Initiative York) โ For their ongoing work to ensure individuals experiencing substance use challenges can access services, support, and pathways toward recovery.
Addressing homelessness requires collaboration, compassion, and a commitment to meeting people where they are. We are grateful to work alongside so many dedicated professionals and organizations who help make York County a stronger, more supportive community for all.
Thank you to Bell Socialization Services, Inc. for this recognition, and allowing us to pass this appreciation on!
