Every once in a while, you meet someone who reminds you that politics doesn't have to be about politics, it can simply be about people.

That's exactly how I felt when I met Steve Tibbe.

From our very first conversation, it was clear that Steve is genuine. He's humble, easy to talk to, and the kind of person who listens because he truly wants to understand people and improve the Grand Rapids community.

Steve represents something I believe our communities are craving: people over politics. While so much of politics today feels loud and divisive, Steve has chosen a different path: He believes in people over politics, and you can see that in everything he does. By building a true grassroots campaign, meeting people where they are, listening to their stories, and earning their trust one conversation at a time.

I'm grateful our paths crossed, and I'm even more grateful to call Steve my friend. I'm proud to endorse him, and I hope you'll take the time to get to know him, too. I think you'll see what I did: someone who leads with humility, puts people first, and reminds us that politics can be, and should be, about serving our neighbors.

Today my WKTV 'Meet the Candidate' interview aired, and while I'm excited to share it, I also want to take a moment to recognize the incredible people behind the scenes.

The WKTV studio is an amazing community resource that has everything from podcast spaces and editing rooms to a full newsroom-style set. It's a place where local stories come to life.

What impressed me most wasn't just the facility, it was the people. They were welcoming, encouraging, and clearly passionate about giving our community a voice.

Thank you to everyone at WKTV for the opportunity to share my story and for everything you do to connect and inform our community.

Had a wonderful evening with Daniel Rivera supporting our friend, Abbie Groff-Blaszak (sorry for being so late in posting these).

I was very focused on conversations and a little too facially enthusiastic, 😆.
