We are excited for this year’s pow wow! Shawnee Night will be at the pow wow grounds this year.

If you are a new camper, please contact Joshua Daugherty prior to setting up so you aren’t setup in someone’s camp.

Official contest schedule will be released in late August/early September.

The Eastern Shawnee Pow Wow Committee is looking for young women to represent our tribe as Tribal Princess and Junior Tribal Princess for this year!

📅 Application Deadline: May 1st
Selection will be made in May by the Pow Wow Committee through an official recorded vote.

👑 TRIBAL PRINCESS
Ages 14–21 | High School, or College Student
✔️ Enrolled Eastern Shawnee Tribal Member
✔️ Good character & willing to represent the tribe with pride
✔️ Minimum 3 years of dance experience

👑 JUNIOR TRIBAL PRINCESS
Ages 8–13 | Elementary or Junior High Student
✔️ Enrolled Eastern Shawnee Tribal Member
✔️ Good character & willing to represent the tribe with pride
✔️ Minimum 1 year of dance experience

📍 Required Events include:

Eastern Shawnee Culture Camp – Wyandotte, OK
Shawna Stovall Children's Back to School Pow Wow – Wyandotte, OK
Eastern Shawnee Pow Wow – Wyandotte, OK

The Tribal Princess will also be expected to attend a minimum of 3 additional regional pow wows, including events hosted by the Miami Nation, Peoria Tribe, Quapaw Nation, Cherokee Nation, Tulsa Indian Club, and Wyandotte Nation.

This is a wonderful opportunity to step into a role of leadership, cultural pride, and community service. We encourage all eligible young women to apply!
