IF you received a text from the "DMV" saying your license will be suspended or that your tabs are expired DONT take the bait :) Apparently there is someone out there with more time on their hands than they know what to do with (maybe just trying to be funny with an April Fools prank). If the DMV is concerned about your license or vehicle, we will mail you something, not text! Hope you are out enjoying this beautiful day!

Hey Wrangell! The DMV will be closed for some much-needed year end work AND some new system upgrades! I will be answering the phone and or returning calls so if you need me just give a call (907) 874-3680.

Hey Wrangell! DMV is open! Please drive carefully, road conditions are definitely improving but there's still some slick spots and our parking lot still has a lot of ice covering it.

UPDATE... Due to snow removal efforts, the DMV is closed for the remainder of the day. Will be back to business-as-usual Monday, December 29th.

UPDATE! I can now process ALL transactions including Drivers Licenses and ID'S. HOWEVER... If you need to take a written test expect the process to take a bit longer as it will be a PAPER test! Thank you for your patience as I work through the new computer upgrade and complications!

CURRENTLY THE DMV IS UNABLE TO PROCESS DIVERS LICENSE AND IDS UNTIL MY COMPUTER IS REPAIRED. The state is currently working to resolve the issue. I will update once it is back up and running! Until then I can still process all other transactions.

Just wanted to give you all a heads up that our elevator for the Public Safety Building is currently not working. I've heard the parts are ordered and the company that does our elevator repairs will be here as soon as they can.
