Last night at the Worthington Fire Department meeting, we had the opportunity to check out two different race cars and refresh our training on how to safely work around them in the event of an accident. It was a great hands-on learning experience that helped us better understand the unique design and safety considerations that come with these vehicles. Training like this helps us stay prepared and find the best ways to respond quickly and safely during an emergency. Big thank you to Trent DeGroot and Blake Luinenburg for helping us continue to learn and stay ready to serve our community.

๐ŸŒณ Happy Arbor Day! Today we had the pleasure of welcoming the second graders from Worthington Christian School to the fire department to help plant trees. The kids had a great time getting their hands dirty, learning about the importance of trees, and helping make our community a little greener.

We love seeing young students get involved and take pride in caring for the environment. Thank you to the students and staff for spending part of your day with us, it was a fun and memorable way to celebrate Arbor Day together! ๐Ÿš’๐ŸŒฑ

With the cold itโ€™s always a good idea to check your smoke alarms and Carbon Monoxide alarms. Make sure to make a habit of keeping them updated.

*Lifespan of smoke alarms typically 10 years.

*Lifespan of Carbon Monoxide alarms is 5-7 years. There are models that can last up to 10 years but only those models that are labeled with that lifespan.
