I had a very distinguished visitor to my office Friday afternoon. My great grandson Renley Carl was presented with a challenge coin. Maybe mayor one day in the future. He is sharp and smart. He asks a lot of questions for a three year old. - Mayor Butler

Today, members of the Woodworth Police Department had the honor of attending the 29th Annual Law Enforcement Memorial held at the Rapides Parish Courthouse.
This memorial serves as a solemn reminder of the courage, sacrifice, and dedication displayed by law enforcement officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. We stand together with agencies across our region to remember and honor the fallen heroes whose service and commitment will never be forgotten.
The Woodworth Police Department is proud to pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice and to continue supporting the brave men and women who serve our communities every day.

The Woodworth Police Department is proud to announce that Officer Marisol Patino has officially graduated from the police academy.
The academy consisted of 17 weeks of intensive training covering Louisiana laws, defensive tactics, firearm training, physical fitness, emergency response, and many other essential law enforcement skills.
Officer Patino’s hard work, professionalism, and dedication throughout her training have already shown that she will be a tremendous asset to our department and to the community we proudly serve. In addition to completing the academy, Officer Patino also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, bringing valuable knowledge, education, and commitment to her role as a law enforcement officer.
Please join us in congratulating Officer Patino on this outstanding accomplishment as she begins her career serving the citizens of Woodworth. We are excited to have her as part of our team and look forward to her continued success with the department.
