Organic Macoun apples, a cross between the McIntosh and Jersey Black apples, are available at the farm stand in Woodinville. It has a sweet-tart flavor and a firm texture that holds up well in baking. Look for organic Empire, Liberty, and Spartan apples to arrive soon.

The farm stand is open until 3 p.m. Thursday, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday.
