If you are a Gulf War Era Veteran or a Gold Star Family, you are invited to attend our 3rd Annual Gulf War Era Veteran and Gold Star Family Gala. This event is provided at no cost to Gulf War Era Veterans, Gold Star Families, Active-Duty Service Members, and their guests. A Gulf War Era Veteran is generally defined by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as any service member who served on active duty from August 2, 1990, to the present. This Gala will seek to bring together active-duty service members, veterans, community leaders, and Gold Star Families for an evening of remembrance, appreciation, fellowship, and recognition.
The month of August holds special significance for millions of Americans who served during the Gulf War Era, beginning with Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm in August 1990 and continuing through numerous military operations in the decades that followed. Despite their service spanning more than three decades, many Gulf War Veterans have never received collective recognition for their contributions and sacrifices. This Gala seeks to change that.
