As we celebrate Christmas Day, we pause to remember that the birth of Jesus Christ is the true reason for this sacred season—a time of hope, love, and reflection. We extend our deepest gratitude to our Veterans for their service and sacrifice, and we hold our Gold Star Families close in our hearts as we honor the loved ones who gave all in service to our nation. Joy to the world, and peace to you and your families. Never Forget: Honoring Our Gulf War Era Heroes
August 26, 2021, is a date branded in our hearts as a reminder of the bravery and sacrifice made by our Gulf War Era Veterans. This day stands as a powerful tribute to the men and women who served their country and paid the ultimate price. It’s a chance for us to pause, reflect, and show appreciation for their courage. Our brothers and sisters in arms deserve more than just one day of recognition, but today especially, we honor them.

When we think about the Gulf War, images of desert landscapes and military operations often come to mind. But beneath those images are real people—friends, family, and neighbors. Each service member had dreams, hopes, and loved ones waiting for their return. Many made the ultimate sacrifice, and we must keep their memories alive. Their bravery is a light that helps guide us in our everyday lives.

The bond formed between service members is unlike any other. It’s a brotherhood built on trust, shared experiences, and sacrifices. Gulf War Era Veterans often describe that unique connection, stating they would do anything for their fellow comrades. On this day, we reflect on that spirit. We must ask ourselves: How can we support these heroes? What can we do to honor their commitment?

Each Gulf War Era Veteran has a story. Whether it’s about a courageous mission or a quiet moment shared with friends, these stories matter. Remembering them helps us grasp the reality of war and the sacrifices made. It’s essential to listen to these accounts and pass them down to future generations. Each story is a thread in the rich tapestry of our nation’s history, teaching us about valor, endurance, and the cost of freedom.

While we honor our Fallen heroes today, we must not stop there. We need to support the families left behind year-round. Each gesture, big or small, contributes to creating a culture of respect and gratitude. It’s a way to ensure that those who served us know we haven’t forgotten their sacrifices.
