Hi there! How’s it going? My name is Erica Stiller, and I am running for Student Senate Treasurer. I am a junior at Winona State University and a student in the College of Business. And you know what? You should vote for me! Why? Because I am a productive, enthusiastic, and ambitious young woman fit to represent the Winona State student body through Student Senate. Right off the bat, I can say I a
m a well-rounded, accomplished young woman, most qualified to serve the student body of Winona State through Student Senate. I have two majors and a minor: Business Administration, HR Management, and Creative Writing (minor). Having these diverse academic goals, I have a broad mind it two areas of study at WSU. My workload also shows how well I am at managing my ambitions. I excel at time management and prioritization, which will help me be of great use to Senate and the student body as a leader and voice. As a skilled club organizer, youth leader and employee with proven success planning and implementing action plans impacting student mission and productivity, I feel quite qualified as a candidate for Student Senate. I am the treasurer of the WSU Ballroom Dance Club as well as the Hydra House Community Mentor, a liaison for the Catholic Newman Center, the Of the Month Manager for the National Residence Hall Honorary, and an active volunteer at the Cathedral of the Sacred Heart as a liturgical minister. Through all of these tasks and responsibilities, I am a humble and enthusiastic servant, which shows how I would participate in Student Senate. I wish to be a voice for the student body of Winona State University and I am confident that I would serve well as such a voice. My peers, superiors, and employers can support me when I say that I am very skilled in assessing and clarifying issues, advocating solutions, mobilizing cross-functional support, and facilitating decision making. I am an exceptional listener and a phenomenal communicator. As a voice for the students of WSU, I would serve to convey student concerns to Student Senate as well as to act as liaison to the student body, keeping the traffic of information ever-flowing. Furthermore, I characterize myself as a hands-on troubleshooter with solid background in process development. This in mind, I approach any positive or negative situation and be able to create a game plan that leads myself and others involved out of conflict and into progress. This will help me in the Senate if/when I would be part of a project or plan that benefits the campus.
