Franklin Parish Fire Dist. 4 had an early morning dispatch for smoke in a house. Upon arrival we found flames showing from under the home. 1.75 inch attack line was used to extinguish the fire. The Occupant reported that the smoke alarms failed to activate. Fire fighters tested the alarms and found they were no operational. It is very important for residents to check their smoke alarms at least once a month.
