COUNTY TAXPAYER’S NOTICE:

Tax year 2025 begins October 1, 2025. Bills will be mailed on September 30th and will be available online. If you do not receive your printed bill by October 15th, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (859) 744-4390 or find it on the website at www.clark.kysheriff.org.

2% Discount Paid by Nov 1, 2025
Face Amount Nov 2 thru Dec 31, 2025
5% Penalty Jan 1 thru Jan 31, 2026
10% Penalty+10% Add-On Feb 1 thru April 15, 2026

Payment Options -
1) By Mail: Mail check or money order to Clark County Sheriff, 17 Cleveland Avenue, Wi******er KY 40391. We honor USPS postmark (not private meters) on all payments received via US mail. If you want a paid receipt returned to you, please enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope.

2) Dropbox: Place personal check, certified check, or money order in the drop box off West Broadway in front of the Sheriff’s Office. Identify the bill(s) you are paying by the bill number, map number, and/or address.

3) Online: Scan the QR code on your tax bill, visit our website www.clark.kysheriff.org and click on Property Taxes to pay by debit, credit, or Google Pay. Merchant service fees apply.

4) In Person: Personal check, certified check, money order, and cash are acceptable forms of payment. Debit and credit cards are accepted; merchant service fees apply. The Sheriff’s office is in the basement of the Governor James Clark Judicial Building. The office will be open from 8:00 am until 4:00 pm Monday through Friday.

5) Pay at Traditional Bank: Personal check, certified check, or money order are acceptable forms of payment at the downtown Wi******er location only, 30 West Broadway, during business hours. Payment must be for the exact amount due and accompanied by the tax bill. Cash payments will not be accepted at this location.

The Clark County Sheriff’s Office will be closed on the following dates:

The Clark County Sheriffs Office has received several calls today in regards to the most but old SCAM going around. They are receiving calls stating we have warrants for them and then they try to give directions on how to pay to avoid being arrested. Please note this is a SCAM. Our office will never call you if we have a Warrant of Arrest for you nor could anyone pay early to avoid an arrest. PLEASE pay attention to these types of illegal games, hang up on the caller and notify the Sheriffs Office immediately. Also, relay the phone number it is coming from to our office for investigation purposes.

PLEASE SHARE:
We are excited to announce that beginning October 1, 2024, taxpayers may pay their property tax bills at the Traditional Bank located at 30 West Broadway!! Personal checks, certified checks, and money orders are acceptable forms of payment. Cash payments will not be accepted at this location. Payment must be for the exact amount due and accompanied by the property tax bill.

You may still mail in your payments, place them in our drop box, pay online, or pay in-person at our office between 8am and 4pm. Cash payments will be accepted at the Sheriff's Office.

Congratulations to RDC’s 8th grade Girls Basketball team on winning the conference championship ! Especially grateful to have the opportunity to to watch my baller Presley Harper compete. She’s special and I’m so proud of her. Love you Pie Pie !
