She later went on to a career in social work.

Albert Philander Grout was also a politician. Before moving to Wi******er, he was located in Nebraska.

Later, upon moving to Illinois, he was a University of Illinois trustee. 

 Some of the documents are still in the house, next time I go digging, I'll snap some pictures.

Picked up this Tibit on eBay.

Amazing to think somebody was actually standing out in front of someone else's house, taking pictures of it and selling them as postcards... and somebody actually bought it. 

Oddly enough, this is not the only postcard of this street that I had seen on ebay, but this is the clearest picture of the house.  apparently this was the famous block. Magnificent mile. 

But as you can see, the roof still has the widows walk on the top. And way too much overgrown landscaping.
