Friends Caring for Cowan Lake State Park We welcome everyone interested in preserving, improving and participating in activities at Cowan Lake State Park.

As a group we aim to be an advocate for Cowan Lake State Park. To preserve and enhance the natural resources in cooperation with various departments of the State of Ohio. To protect nature and wildlife and to enhance the boating experience on Cowan Lake. To support State projects, conduct events and raise funds and support grants; to provide volunteer labor, promote the Park with legislative and g

overnment personnel, Support and cooperate with other groups promoting Cowan Lake state Park and educate and attract the public to use the Park.

Congratulations to our 2026 Cowan Lake Crappie Tournament winners! 1st Place: Terry Shelton with a 1 lb. 10.5 oz., 15.5 in. crappie; 2nd Place: Connie Miller with a 1 lb. 6.7 oz., 14 in. crappie; 3rd Place: Wendy Mulice with a 1 lb. 5.5 oz., 12.5 in. crappie. Prizes will be awarded to the winners at the Cowan Lake Family Fishing Day Event on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at noon. Many thanks to the Fishing Pole Bait Shop for their participation in this event. We would also like to thank Greater Tomorrow Health Urgent Care Clinic, Susan and Phillip Teboe, Fishing Pole Bait Shop, and Bob Heyob for their prize donations.
