This Memorial Day has us traveling all across Southern and Central Ohio — literally from one end of the state to the other. 🇺🇸🔥
Today we’re working along the Ohio River with several clients making sure their businesses, buildings, and fire protection equipment are ready if the unthinkable happens. The rest of the week is completely booked solid, and the phone honestly hasn’t slowed down much at all lately.
When we stop and really think about it, it’s hard to believe how much this small family business has grown. What started years ago as a small hometown operation has now turned into service calls, inspections, installations, and maintenance work all across Ohio. There are days our trucks leave before daylight and don’t make it back until late in the evening — but that growth and support is something we never take for granted.
Over the last several months especially, this business has continued to grow faster than we ever imagined. With that growth comes longer days, more travel, more paperwork, more scheduling, and sometimes delays that are simply unavoidable while trying to give every customer the same level of service and attention they deserve.
We know there are times calls may not get answered immediately, schedules may shift, or we may run behind — and for that we ask everyone to please bear with us. We are doing everything we can to keep up while continuing to provide the honest, reliable, family-owned service that built this company in the first place.
But above everything else, the biggest thank you goes to my dad (John Irwin). None of this would exist without the foundation, reputation, relationships, and work ethic he spent decades building. Every mile we travel, every customer we gain, and every truck that pulls out of the shop is because of the business he built from the ground up. We’re simply trying our best to continue the legacy he left behind and make him proud every single day.
Another huge thank you goes to my mom (Connie Irwin) and my brother (Jr Irwin) who continue to support me, help keep things moving, and stand beside me through the chaos that comes with running and growing this business. It truly takes all of us.
And lastly, thank you to Sara for being willing to put up with this craziness — the late nights, nonstop phone calls, traveling, stress, long work days, and everything else that comes with this life. This business demands a lot, and having someone willing to stand beside you through it all means more than words can explain.
To every customer, friend, fire department, business owner, school, contractor, and community that continues to support us — thank you for believing in us and continuing to trust Irwin Fire Equipment.
We may be busy, we may be constantly on the road, and we may still be learning as we continue growing… but we promise one thing: we are giving this business everything we have every single day. 🔥🇺🇸🚒
