It’s another reminder that there’s a lot more happening in Wildwood than many people realize.

The St. Louis Post-Dispatch featured an article today on a topic that cities across the region and throughout the country are dealing with: the growing popularity of e-bikes and scooters.

As I shared with the reporter, “everybody is having the same complaints and concerns that we are.”

I’ve heard from residents who have concerns about safety, speed, and where these devices are being used. I’ve also heard from residents who support making sure there are places where they can be used responsibly.

As technology continues to evolve, many cities are reviewing and updating their ordinances. Wildwood will be taking a look at our regulations as well to ensure we strike the right balance between safety, recreation, and accessibility.

Flood Advisory in Effect. Please use caution if you’re out driving today. Reports indicate flooding in some areas, including Woods Avenue. Be especially mindful of roads and low-lying areas that are prone to flooding.

Remember: Turn Around, Don’t Drown. Never attempt to drive through standing water. Conditions can change quickly, and water may be deeper than it appears.

In town for the Spirit of St. Louis Air Show? Here’s another Wildwood classic worth checking out: Larry's Tavern.

Larry’s has been serving the community for decades, and there’s a reason people keep coming back. Great burgers, cold drinks, familiar faces, and a laid-back atmosphere make it a true gathering place.

And as far as burgers go, I’m just going to say it: Larry’s has some of the best burgers around, and I fully endorse that statement.

Down in the hurricane states they have the Waffle House Index. Here in Wildwood, I always say we’ve got the Larry’s Index. If Larry’s is open during a storm, we’re probably going to be just fine.

If you’re visiting our area this weekend, stop by, grab a burger, and experience a Wildwood tradition.
