Please join us for Parent Engagement Night on Tuesday, September 15th from 4:00 - 7:30 at Derby High School. This event will combine our traditional Pantherpawlooza with an evening of parent/teacher conferences. Conferences will be a drop in format so no appointment is necessary. Come check in with teachers, explore DHS programs and pathways, sign up for clubs/activities, or meet with our College & Career Advisor to explore financial aid options. We look forward to seeing you there!

Derby High School senior football players visited elementary schools to present the Green is Magic Spirit Award. Congratulations to Jessica Florio’s fourth-graders at Park Hill Elementary for being among this week’s winners!

Throughout the football season, this award will be given to the class that shows the most “Green” on Fridays or demonstrates exceptional effort that week, such as cleaning up, doing well on a project or bringing the best energy. Park Hill students, as an example, were selected for having the most “Pack Pride” points. This is a result of having good attendance, demonstrating positive behavior, arriving to school on time and having 100% of students complete Partner Practice. Winners receive a special visit with the student-athletes and a student ticket for a home football game.

Meet senior Sophia Rogers, who is joining the Derby Public Schools Communications Department as a Work-Based Learning student intern for the 2026-2027 school year!

Through this opportunity, Sophia will gain hands-on experience in communications while helping create content for the high school's website and social media. She’ll bring a student perspective to the stories, activities and experiences that make up life at DHS.

We’re excited to have her on the team and look forward to seeing her creativity and student voice come to life throughout the year!
