The party ends. The consequences donโ€™t. On Monday at Goddard High School and yesterday at Eisenhower High School, you might have seen a scene that looked like a nightmare. Mangled metal, sirens, and heartbreak. It wasnโ€™t realโ€”but for thousands of families every spring, it is.

Prom and graduation are about celebrating your future, not cutting it short. One "celebratory" drink or one "buzz" is all it takes to turn a milestone into a memorial.

While most of the community was staying warm inside, this incredible maintenance team was outside doing the hard work that makes a safe return to school possible.

On Sunday, January 25th, and again early Monday morning, January 26th, the USD 265-Facilities, Maintenance & Operations staff were out across the district clearing snow from parking lots, driveways, sidewalks, and entrances, ensuring school buildings are safe and accessible for students, staff, and families.

These moments from USD 265-Clark Davidson Elementary School, USD 265-Discovery Intermediate School, and USD 265-Challenger Intermediate School are a snapshot of the pride, grit, and dedication behind the scenes. Snow storms do not stop this team from showing up, problem solving, and taking care of our schools.

๐Ÿ”นUSD 265-Eisenhower Middle School held a door decorating contest, organized by Officer Malcom, to make the living drug-free message engaging.

๐Ÿ”นOfficers conducted D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Lessons at USD 265-Amelia Earhart Elementary. These short, age-appropriate sessions are designed to equip children with knowledge and decision-making skills.

USD 265-Goddard Public Schools is offering a FREE D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) program this winter. Taught exclusively by Goddard USD 265 Law Enforcement Officers, this after-school program provides vital skills need to navigate challenging situations and make positive choices.
