☕👮 Coffee with a Cop – Come Join Us!

The Westminster Police Department invites you to join us for Coffee with a Cop on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 6:00 AM to 8:00 AM!

Coffee with a Cop began in Hawthorne, California, in 2011 with a simple idea: bring police officers and community members together over a cup of coffee. Since then, it has grown into a nationwide and international initiative focused on building relationships, strengthening trust, and encouraging open communication.

We believe some of the best conversations happen outside of emergency situations. This is a great opportunity to meet our officers, ask questions, share your thoughts, or simply stop by and say hello!

🎃🍬 HALLOWEEN IS ALMOST HERE… AND WE COULD USE A LITTLE... OR A LOT... OF HELP! 🍬🎃

With just a week and a half until Westminster's Annual Halloween Celebration, we're getting excited for another fun-filled evening with our community!

Each year, thanks to the incredible generosity of our residents and local businesses, we're able to help supply candy to the homeowners on Bacon, Pleasant, and Elliott Streets who welcome nearly 1,500 trick-or-treaters! 👻

This year, our candy collection is moving a little slower than usual, and we still have quite a way to go to make sure our participating homes are well-stocked for the big night!

🧡 A HUGE THANK YOU to the Westminster Lions Club for their incredibly generous donation toward this year's candy collection! Community organizations like the Lions Club play such an important role in making traditions like this possible, and we are so grateful for their continued support!

Want to help? We're still happily accepting candy donations at:
📍 Town Hall
📍 Public Safety Building
📍 Community Senior Center

Whether it's one bag or several, every donation helps us get a little closer to our goal! Thank you, Westminster, for always coming together to make this such a special night for our kids and families! We couldn't do it without you!

Our Senior Center was truly transformed at our Motown Celebration...

Motown Night Brings the Community Together!

Westminster has recently kicked off a new community initiative designed to bring residents of all ages together through fun, social events at the Community Senior Center - which is NOT just for seniors! One of the most recent events was our Motown-themed Community Dance, taking place on Friday, October 16th - and what a night it was!

The Senior Center's social room was completely transformed into a Motown-inspired nightclub, complete with black-draped walls, a glowing Motown sign, a twinkling blue ceiling above the dance floor, soft lighting, and beautifully decorated tables. Nearly three hours of classic Motown hits, accompanied by videos on the big screen, kept the energy going all evening.

Nearly 70 guests came out to enjoy the festivities, many dressed in their best Motown-inspired outfits! It didn't take long for the dancing to begin—by the second song, guests were already on their feet, and the dance floor stayed busy right through the final number.

The fantastic turnout and enthusiasm made the evening a wonderful success and a great start to what we hope will become a series of community gatherings. Stay tuned for more opportunities to get together, have fun, and make connections right here in Westminster!

Want to see a specific type of event? It could be for kids, tweens, teens, adults or seniors... let us know! We want to bring you events that you WANT to attend!
