I am so very pleased to announce my nomination by the Southampton Town Democratic Party as a candidate for Southampton Town Council. Along with my two extremely qualified running mates, Jay Schneiderman for Supervisor and Julie Lofstad, I hope to have the opportunity to work with you for the future of Southampton. I will make water quality and quality of life issues my priority. While I don’t have

all the answers, I intend to listen and learn from all stakeholders in our Town. Know that I fully support the Board of Trustees and will work hard to secure their role as an independent entity. Jay, Julie and I look forward to the future and I hope you will support the 3 J’s – Jay, Julie and John. We are a true team and united in our desire to act on the behalf of all the residents of Southampton Town. Help us make it happen. Thank you.

After many years of hard work, this legislation was just signed into law this morning to protect our water for future generations and set the stage for our County Legislature to vote for a referendum on this November's ballot to assure future generations the right and ability to protect our water and water sources going into the future for generations to come.

Governor Hochul signed the Suffolk Water Quality Restoration Act to protect public health and improve water quality.
