Possible Alternative to New England Clothes Recycling (NECR):

If you'd been planning to drop off items with NECR at yesterday's Zero Waste Day and would like a possible alternative, a nearby option for Toys, Games, Usable Linens & Bedding, Usable Small Household Items / Decor, Seasonal Items (and more!) is:

The Society of St. Vincent De Paul's thrift shop.

Thrift Shop address: 1488 Middlesex Street, Lowell MA
Open: 7 Days a week and has late hours (7PM) on Thursdays.
For perspective, this location is 4-5 miles from Westford. It's a 10 minute drive (without traffic) from the Westford Route 3 Exit on Route 40 and is less than 2 miles from the shopping areas at Drum Hill.

Your gently used clothing and household items can make a real difference. Donate goods to St. Vincent de Paul Council of Boston and help support local families, community programs, and affordable thrift store shopping.

ZERO WASTE DAY - Regretfully:

New England Clothes Recycling has had to withdraw from the event this Saturday 9-12-26. Between Electronics and More and the other non-profits and vendors participating in Zero Waste Day, there are still many opportunities to rehome unwanted stuff, but please do not bring items that only New England Clothes Recycling was to collect.

The Town of Westford is partnering with Bootstrap Compost to offer a convenient Food Scrap Drop-Off Bin at Abbot Elementary School.
For $12.50 per month, subscribers receive unlimited access to the drop-off bin and can help divert food scraps from the waste stream while receiving finished compost back for their plants.
The first 80 subscribers will receive their first month FREE!

Have you ever wondered where we get all the books for our book sales?

The vast majority of the books in our sales are donated by generous community members who drop off their loved, but no-longer-needed books, DVDs, CDs, and other media in our donation bin in the First Parish Church parking lot.
