An expression of professional frustration: In all my 59 years Computer Systems experience, I've never met a more undependable personal computer operating system than Microsoft Windows (10/11).

It is an unpredictable, unreliable, Failure prone wreck, filled with historic flaws, unpredictable behavior, mediocre storage architecture, poor quality scheduler, horrifying memory mismanagement, horrible messaging, terrible stack and queue managing disaster, a chilling collection of defects in design and development, a patchwork of acquired facilities copied or bought from other systems, cobbled together, limited by the ineffable inexperience of the company's half assed software vision, and its weak multi-tasking, weak storage, slow storage transfer, weak security, weak foundation, weak resource philosophy still stuck back in its CPM, QDOS, MSDOS single root hard drive, Multics, quasi Unix roots. It's a terribly bloated crazy quilt that can't quite get out of its own way. It could have been so much more when it was visualized for long term use.

I'm thinking of having a funeral for it, because if this is the best IBM and Microsoft can do, then they aren't the companies I thought they were and we need to leave them forever behind, replacing them and it with much, much better. It's like riding the back of an extinct Plesiosaurus.

I've almost never been so done in and disappointed in my life to have to work with this almost extinct way back when- excuse for not writing it correctly the first time. Part of this falls on Intel and they know exactly why I'm saying that. But this thing is Sub standard work. And it is not up to the task of undertaking the upcoming era of systems work, where 25-45 GB files routinely replace 120kB files. . . And AUI adds huge, vicarious work loads, And the workloads are 24x7 and require heavy duty unrelated data movement, ingestion, don't festijn and output.

Shame on you Gates, Sardella, IBM. You should have done better. But instead you went OS2, another tragic disaster. And AIX, burying your poor AS4xx and other targets like a super sized knitted loomng machine, making garments out of strings of straw. And Lynix and company ain't the answer for every day retail home and office.

When I first worked on this project back in the mid 70s I had such hopes for you, Gates and Jobs. Then I discovered you have no collective corporate memory and thus are doomed to repeatedly repeat the same mistakes over and over unto eternity, like the Devil's twitching hindleg. I had had hopes you might grow out of it all . . .

But it has simply not worked out.

When it was opened, the sway in the WTC Towers at the top of the window DoD restaurant was so bad, people would get airsick.

The Rockefellers' and the Port Authority were charged to repair the nearly 14' sway by the Building Department of the City of NY.

A cheap solution was found, the construction crews detached the floors from each level as the sway was caused by lack of internal girders, a construction method that has added 22% to the rental space to benefit the Rockefellers rental revenues.

So then they reattached the floors (one at a time,) and they used a "de-buffering method", by detaching the floating floors from the walls and corners of the Towers and the elevator tower boxes, and reconnecting them using huge tightly tensioned Rubber Suspension "Donut shaped Rings" ("O Rings") to pull the Towers' walls in tighter and under strong pressure, reducing the sway by 98%.

Those suspenders were then replaced once every 7 years for safety and pretensioning. Must have been much cheaper than putting in the absent cross suspension support girders omitted from the design.

While it at first worked well, when the Terrorist piloted Jets hit the WTC middle upper floors on 911, the extreme heat of the Jet fuel burning melted and burned away those rings holding up the floors and tensioning the exoskeleton walks and elevator box towers, wherever they hit and five flours above and below the point of impact. That was enough. This caused the WTC to litterally implode from the weight above the detached floors and the floors themselves to "pancake" as you saw on films, causing much greater loss of life than had the upgrade been done properly at the outset. Such Guilty SOBs! Sheer negligence.

Fearing legal retribution, having just unloaded the WTC on Larry Silverstein Properties weeks prior to the Al Qaeda iif Pakistani WTC 911 attack, the Rockefellers propaganda machinery started almost immediately spreading false rumors of explosive charges in the WTC and releasing Actors films portraying fake street witnesses who claimed to have seen explosions from explosives, and BS about government activities being covered up and falsely attacking Israel (Rockefelkers are AntiSemites) to hide their own guilt. They'd paid off the city building Inspectors to allow that horrible "donut shaped rubber O rings" suspension on every key floor to pass inspection, which solution they added as it was easy and cheap.

But it led to nearly all the deaths from The Towers during the 911 WTC Disaster as it both delayed evacuation and accelerated collapse versus no collapse had cross member girders been added. But that would have cut down on the available rental space. Ironically, the Towers weren't ever more than 76% rented at any time during their existence. What looks good on paper can be lethal, David Jr. .

The upper middle of the towers floor line jet crashes implies that the Pakistani's/Chinese whose terrorists attacked us with Jets on 911, knew all about this vulnerability and exploited it.

Now, those of you who read this, know something the majority of America were never told. And it's not theory. The melted remains of these gigantic "O Rings" was found smid the wreckage. But prosecution of the negligence never took place.
