Gerrie Cotter is mom to daughter, Cassie and son, Mattie who both attend middle school in the district. She has lived in the Westerville area for over 12 years and served as a trustee in Genoa Township before moving to uptown Westerville. She cares about the Westerville School District and the greater Westerville community. Gerrie has been an active parent in the district by volunteering for event
s at the schools and serving on the district’s Business Advisory Council as well as volunteering for the Our Community, Our Schools organization to help with the district's levy campaigns. Gerrie is licensed attorney (NY) and currently works for the Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) in Workforce Development with a focus on career exploration and development for K-12 students and college students. Prior to this role, Gerrie was a public policy advisor for ODJFS and made policy recommendations agency-wide. Gerrie also previously served as a Genoa Township Trustee and was supportive of the Westerville School District in that role, particularly with pursuing a stoplight at a dangerous intersection, extending walking around the schools and dugouts for the Westerville Central baseball diamond. Gerrie enjoys volunteering in the community, attending local musical theater and dance performances, sporting events, reading, hiking, skiing and spending time with family and friends. Today, Gerrie wants to serve you and the community on the Westerville Schools Board of Education. Gerrie cares about you, the quality of Westerville education, students and the Westerville community. She will promote fiscal responsibility, high quality education, career based curriculum and the Westerville community.
