West Point Fire was alerted to a vehicle accident off Winton Road involving a motorcycle and another vehicle yesterday afternoon. Following stabilization, 1 patient had sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to the nearest trauma center. Special thanks are extended to our crew for their timely intervention and to Cal-fire, American Legion ambulance, and CHP for their valuable assistance. Stay safe out there folks! 🚒

Last night, West Point Fire Protection District responded to a wildland fire located off Mitchell Mill Rd, which was mapped at approximately 1.5 acres before being extinguished. We extend our gratitude to CAL FIRE Tuolumne-Calaveras Unit, Central Calaveras Fire District, Mokelumne Hill Fire, San Andreas Fire Dept, and Amador Fire for their assistance and support during the incident, as well as for covering the district while our crews worked to contain the difficult-to-access fire. Great job everyone & thank you!! ⛰️🔥🚒💦
