To compete and win consistently on an intercollegiate level in dinghy and offshore sailing while fostering teamwork, developing leadership skills, and promoting individual and social development. The USMA Sailing Team will develop Cadet Leadership in an extremely technical, high-pressure, team environment while learning how to sail and compete with professionalism at a collegiate level. The team w

ill represent the best of the United States Military Academy in a sport that is not native to its service and will beat USNA at their own game. Graduate a class of USMA Sailors each year that has been developed professionally, socially, and individually by his/her membership on the team. Continue to improve not only in competitiveness and winning record but also in team organization, professionalism, and legitimacy.
