Another great week of Space!!!

CDT Larry Bolt just finished his feasibility study with the University of Alaska Fairbanks (UAF) Geophysical Institute (GI) and NASA determining if the United States Military Academy is able to launch sounding rockets through the Aurora at the Poker Flat Research Range (PFRR). Job well done!

Team,

Check out some of the amazing space research going on at USMA. The CEDAR conference is where all ionospheric plasma, radar, heliophysics, and weather researchers get together to talk about the current questions being answered in the field. The West Point Physics and Nuclear Engineering Department and West Point Civil & Mechanical Engineering Department are partnering together through SPEAR to study the ionosphere in the arctic region.

Contact CPT Nicholas Deschenes if you're interested in launching a rocket through the Aurora borealis!
