Welcome to Goodwill Week!

At Gulfstream Goodwill Industries, our mission is about opening doors and keeping them open for the individuals and families we serve.

From preventative services to Housing Resource Centers, residential services, our charter school, culinary training kitchen, and adult day training program we are building pathways to independence for individuals facing barriers.

This week, we celebrate the people whose lives are changing because of the impact of our programs, and our team that makes it all possible every day.

Building Ideas for Coleman Park

A wonderful group of community partners recently traveled to Jacksonville to visit The Corner at Debs Store, a historic neighborhood store reimagined into a place for fresh food, career support, financial wellness, and community connection.

The visit gave us the opportunity to learn from LIFT JAX, and Goodwill Industries of North Florida, whose partnership helped bring this community-centered model to life. A special thank you to Travis Williams with LIFT JAX and David Rey with Goodwill Industries of North Florida for sharing their insight and experience.

Representatives from RISE Coleman Park, Palm Beach Venture Philanthropy, Quantum Foundation, Cleveland Clinic, and Gulfstream Goodwill Industries joined the trip, including Raphael Clemente, Camden Baggs, Upendo Shabazz, Ontario Johnson, Karen Davidson, Joan McCabe, Carol Richmond, Christopher Glinton, Julie Fisher Cummings, and Kellie Hensley.

As Coleman Park continues its revitalization journey, we are excited to learn from successful models, listen to community voices, and help build a blueprint rooted in opportunity, dignity, and lasting impact.

We want to extend a heartfelt thank you to everyone who made our talent show such a huge success!

So much incredible talent, passion, and heart were shared throughout the night, it truly was one of our most meaningful and memorable shows yet. This event means the world to our participants and students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and it wouldn’t have been possible without your support.

We still have a few artwork pieces available! Remember, 50% of all art sold goes directly back to the artists. Starting price is typically $40.

We’d love for every artist to go home knowing their work was seen, appreciated, and sold, so please consider supporting their creativity.

We have an important update regarding Gulfstream Goodwill’s Got Talent.

Due to unexpected flooding at our original venue, the event has been relocated to ensure a safe and seamless experience.

This event plays a key role for the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities, who have been working hard in preparation for their performances.

As part of an educational outing, our Capabilities of the Palm Beaches participants experienced the full gallery process, placing and hanging their own artwork at the Eissey Theater, where it will be displayed throughout the month.

These pieces will be featured in a live art auction during Gulfstream Goodwill’s Got Talent, where 50 percent of each sale goes directly back to the artist.

We are so grateful to FAU CARD and the Boynton Beach Art & Cultural Center for hosting such a wonderful evening at the Art and Autism Expo.

Three of our Capabilities of the Palm Beaches participants had the incredible opportunity to showcase their artwork, and one even shared their musical talents, it was truly inspiring to witness.

What a fantastic event filled with such talented, rising young artists. We are already looking forward to attending again next year!
