Scout Troop 18 Given Charter
Boy Scout Troop 18, sponsored by the West Memphis Civitan Club, received it's charter at the regular meeting last night at the Scout Hut.
The charter was presented by James L. Snowden, institutional representative. The troop was organized about two months ago and has 11 members.
In another ceremony three members - Allie Tilly, Charles Brock and Bobby Reichard - received their Tenderfoot Badges. Davis A. Meyer of Memphis, member of the financial department of the National Boy Scout Council, was a special guest.
The troop meets every Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Scout Hut and boys interested in scouting are invited, along with any adults who are interested in the program.
Gene Perkins is scoutmaster, and Jack Hiler, assistant scoutmaster.
