Observed each year from May 6–12, National Nurses Week recognizes the compassion, dedication, and life-saving work nurses provide every single day. Whether at the bedside, in clinics, or behind the scenes, nurses play a vital role in keeping our community healthy and strong. 💉🩺

Across the country, landmarks are illuminated, stories are shared, and communities come together to celebrate the nursing profession. Here in OUR community, this glowing tribute is a symbol of appreciation for the countless ways nurses care for others, often in moments that matter most.

I want to thank everyone who helped and supported me and my campaign. I want to thank Randy Young, Jaime Ortiz and Kenneth Chapin for spending their day yesterday working the voter polls with me. I want to give a huge shout out to Jaime though, for spending so much time canvassing for me. Not only this, but I was able to pick his and Randy's brains for advice.

It was a huge uphill battle, taking on not only the incumbent, but the president of the county council as a nobody with no name recognition. I achieved everything I wanted to achieve, aside from getting the win. I wanted to get atleast 1000 votes, believing that would be enough to win. My opponent ran unopposed in 22 and received every vote (1981). Early voting this year was off the charts, and likely cost me the election due to me having no name recognition. This will not be the last they see of me, on to the next battle!

Only 2 days until election day! This weekend we did a lot of canvassing doors, and had some very interesting conversations with voters. Weve hit about 4000 homes in West Lafayette, Lafayette, Romney, Battle Ground, Westpoint, Shadeland and Otterbein.

Whether I win this election or not, one thing I know is that my opponent knows she is not the better candidate. If you are confident in your answers and felt like you did well in interviews, you would naturally post the interviews to your campaign page. I posted both interviews (The J&C and Based in Lafayette) we were given so that voters could compare me and my opponent. My opponent has never posted the interviews on her campaign page because she knows she would lose voters with her vague answers.

I feel good about the work we have put in going into Tuesday!

Here is my interview, and my opponents interview with the J&C. As expected, my opponent says a lot without saying anything at all. I provide specifics, while she is very vague. I encourage everyone to read to get your own opinions, but I do have a few takeaways from her answers.

*If she can balance the budget shortfall we will experience due to the SB1, why hasn't she done so the last 4 years?

*Why did it take the SB1 for her to spend less, instead of being responsible with spending to lower taxes?

*In the last 4 years, can she name anything that her and the current County Council has actually cut?

I just want to give a shout out to some of the democrats who said they will be voting for me. I appreciate it. However, you don't have the ability to have an open ticket in the primaries. You must select a republican ticket to vote for me. In November you can do an open party ticket. Thank you!
