The band featured great singers and musicians, covering traditional and modern country artists as well as southern rock. Some fans were dancing to the music, and there was even a cartwheel or two.

We hope you'll join us at 7 p.m. this Saturday for Title 14 at Keehner Park. This 12-piece band has a horn section and plays a variety of funk, pop, blues and rock favorites. Your feet will be moving, as you enjoy the good sounds and good vibes!

Water safety starts before anyone gets in the water. Follow these simple tips to help keep your family safe this summer:

1. Designate a Water Watcher.
Choose one responsible adult to actively supervise children whenever they are in or around water. Avoid distractions like phones, conversations, reading, or alcohol, and rotate responsibilities every 15-30 minutes.

2. Create layers of protection.
Secure pools with fencing and self-closing, self-latching gates. Keep gates locked when not in use, remove toys and floats from the pool area, and secure ladders or access points for above-ground pools.

3. Be prepared for emergencies.
Keep a phone nearby to call 9-1-1 and have rescue equipment, such as a reaching pole or life ring, within easy reach.

4. Wear the right flotation device.
Use properly fitted, U.S. Coast Guard-approved life jackets when boating or participating in water activities. Water wings, inflatables, and pool noodles are not substitutes.

5. Learn lifesaving skills.
Consider taking CPR training and make sure everyone in your household knows what to do in an emergency.

6. Check the water first.
If a child is ever missing, always check the water immediately.

Drowning can happen quickly and quietly. A few simple precautions can make all the difference.
