The Splash Park is open for the summer season!

The West Chester Splash Park at Beckett Park West is ready to welcome families back for another summer of free, outdoor fun. Township crews have been working through the off-season on mechanical improvements, system testing, and upgrades to help improve the park experience.

Visitors will also notice a new water dome feature, added in response to resident feedback, offering a fun new way for kids to cool off.

The Splash Park features interactive water tables, water slides, a giant tipping bucket, multi-level spray zones, shaded seating and a covered shelter area with picnic tables. Pack the sunscreen and cool off this summer in West Chester!

Many creatures that call local forests home (or once called them home) are related to dogs and cats that live with us. Ages 3-5 can enjoy a story, a craft project, and find out who these relatives are.

The All-American Bash is back! Come down to the Voice of America MetroPark this Fourth of July weekend for a whole day of fun capped off with a live performance at 9 p.m. on July 3.

Young women who are new to college need to be aware of their surroundings and know how to protect themselves. That's why West Chester Police created Self-defense and Awareness through Fundamental Education (S.A.F.E.).

Requested by parents, the program focuses on teaching practical skills for campus safety. Sessions include rigorous self-defense training, situational awareness and personal protection. The only session of S.A.F.E. this year will be June 22-26, 10 a.m. to noon, in Lakota West High School’s wrestling room.

Update: the road has now reopened. 

Due to an accident involving four vehicles, Tylersville Road is closed between Princeton Glendale Road/SR 747 and Wethersfield Dr.

Motorist are advised to avoid the area and find an alternate route.

Thanks to all our West Chester police officers who took part in the Law Enforcement Torch Run today, and thanks also to all who supported Special Olympics.

Our police celebrated with Special Olympics Athletes after the run at the police station, enjoying a barbeque and offering words of encouragement for next week's statewide competition in Columbus!

Welcome 2026 Food Trucks - June 5th 2026 Food Truck Rally

This year we received 87 applications—thank you to everyone who applied. We selected 42 trucks, and it was not an easy decision, as there were so many great options.

If you weren’t selected this year, we truly appreciate your interest and encourage you to apply again next year. We make an effort to give new and local trucks an opportunity, but unfortunately we can’t accommodate everyone. Space is also limited, as we have to fit a large number of trucks into a small area.

Please also know that selections are often influenced by past participation, including factors such as: running out of food, truck size accuracy, timeliness, overall ease of coordination, and cooperation with and kindness to our volunteers.

We look forward to seeing you all on June 5th!
