Fall is one of our two busiest seasons for outreach at Vision Forward, and Veronica, our Outreach Specialist, has been running in all sorts of directions this past month—creating connections and raising awareness of Vision Forward wherever she goes. Just a few of her recent activities include traveling to Wausau as a vendor at a statewide convention for ADRC employees and related professionals; speaking to the Wellness Committee of the Milwaukee County Commission on Aging; representing Vision Forward at the UCC’s health fair and numerous other community health fairs; participating in Fall Prevention Week activities throughout Milwaukee County; sharing the impact of our organization through the United Way speaking bureau; providing tours of our new facility; and presenting Stepping On in both English and Spanish. And that’s not everything!

Thank you, Veronica, for your energy, enthusiasm and commitment to creating greater awareness of Vision Forward and building meaningful connections throughout our communities. And thank you to all of our staff that support our outreach efforts! It truly takes a team to reach as many people as we do.

Cedar Community Magazine in West Bend recently featured our client Audrey McGarvie.

When residents at Cedar Community expressed a need for a Low Vision Support Group, Audrey stepped up to bring them together. With guidance and resources from Vision Forward, she turned an idea into an opportunity for connection, shared experiences, and support for people living with vision loss.

Read her story here on pages 8-11. https://issuu.com/cedarcommunity/docs/2026_autumn_live_more

Today is !

A donor-advised fund (DAF) is a charitable giving account that allows donors to set aside funds for philanthropy and recommend grants to the nonprofits they care about over time.

This , consider recommending a grant to Vision Forward. Your support helps empower individuals with vision loss through life-changing services, adaptive technology, education, and advocacy.

Making a gift is easy! Vision Forward's donation page includes a DAF giving tool that connects directly with many donor-advised fund providers, making it simple to recommend your grant online.

Together, we're creating a more accessible and independent future for all.

October is Estate Planning Month—a time to think about the future and the legacy you want to leave behind.

Estate planning isn’t just about what happens to your assets. It’s an opportunity to make a lasting difference in the lives of others and support the causes that matter most to you.

By including Vision Forward in your estate plans, you can help ensure that people of all ages with vision loss continue to have access to the services, training and resources they need to live with greater independence and confidence.

Our Legacy donor Scott Lone describes why he chose Vision Forward https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oedFctH5BAc

This World Sight Day, we're proud to support the Early Detection of Vision Impairments for Children Act. Untreated vision problems affect how a child learns, grows, and thrives, and right now there's no national program to catch them early. That needs to change. 👁️
