Character Descriptions- each role is a lead role!
Meg is a girl who longs for luxury and feels a little resentful that her life is not more glamorous.
Jo is often brash and can be particularly hard on Amy. She is very opinionated and envies the opportunities boys have, thus, she behaves a bit like a boy, as though this will make her stronger and give her a bigger voice in the world.
Beth is tender-hearted and thinks of others more than her sisters do. She is soft-spoken and gentle.
As the youngest, Amy has clearly been spoiled. She whines when she feels under appreciated and yearns to be an upper class young lady. As such, she tries to talk like one and often fails.
Sallie comes from money and is very used to getting her way. She has a big, steamroller type personality. When talking about Meg’s party dress, she is genuinely praising it and speaks of it with great enthusiasm, even as she (almost innocently) insults the gown. She’s a bit full of herself but mostly because of the way she’s been raised and not because she’s cruel or really means any harm.
