In a new video from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Elder Geritt W. Gong of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles explores “how to hear God’s voice clearly in an age of artificial intelligence (AI), and why that distinction matters more now than ever.”

“Can artificial intelligence replace God?” Elder Gong asks in the hour-long, gospel workshop video now available on YouTube. “That question may sound provocative, but in an age when we turn to algorithms for answers, guidance and even comfort, it matters deeply.”

"In moments of pain, loneliness, or confusion, we know that our Heavenly Father and His Beloved Son are aware of our circumstances and that They yearn to bless us. The Savior’s words are clear:

"'Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you:

"'For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened' (Matthew 7:7–8).

"Opening the windows of heaven through fervent prayer does not require the use of many words or flowery language. Rather, the diligence in prayer which Heavenly Father requires of us is to 'pour out [our] souls' in private places and have our hearts 'drawn out in prayer unto him continually' (Alma 34:26–27)."

“I’m Grace, originally from Fiji. My husband is from Tuvalu, so our family is a blend of both of our cultures—something that’s really special, but not always easy to navigate.

"One of the hardest things for me has been learning how to build a home that reflects both of our backgrounds while also centering it on our faith. There were moments where I felt like I was being pulled in different directions—what I grew up with, what he grew up with, and what we wanted for our kids. I remember feeling overwhelmed, like I was running in circles trying to figure it out.

"But over time, we started focusing on what we call a ‘Jesus-centered culture’ in our home. That changed everything for me. It gave me clarity. It helped me let go of the fear of what others might think—even my own family. I used to worry they would judge me or not understand, but as I became more confident in my beliefs, they actually began to respect it.

"I’ve been a member of the Church for about nine years now. I converted when I was 20, and I think one thing I didn’t expect is that it doesn’t suddenly become easy after baptism. If anything, it takes more effort to keep that faith strong. But I’ve learned that even when I don’t have everything figured out, if I just keep turning to God—through prayer, through the temple, through the scriptures—He meets me where I am.

"Lately, I’ve been trying to hear Him more through the scriptures. Before, I would mostly feel Him during hard moments, but now I’m learning how to recognize Him in the quiet, everyday things. Even doing Come, Follow Me with my kids—it’s simple, but it’s powerful.

"I don’t have all the answers. But I do know that faith—just having faith—is enough to keep moving forward.” —Grace

In Alma 32:27, “He [Alma] teaches here that any amount of faith is enough for God.”

Choosing to "exercise a particle of faith" every day will increase the strength of your faith little by little.

“It was around the age of 15 that I began to gain my testimony. I remember that my school friends and classmates already had different habits—things that didn’t happen in my family because we’re members of the Church. They would invite me to do things that I didn't feel comfortable doing.

"At that point, I had to ask myself what I truly wanted for my life. Was I living the gospel because I knew it was true, or simply because I had been taught to live that way since I was little?

"That year, I had that question on my mind a lot. Deep down, I knew it was true, but maybe I didn’t feel it very strongly. Then, that year, I went to FSY here in Argentina.

"And I remember that’s where I felt the Spirit very strongly for the first time—while I was reading the scriptures. I was studying them alone, out in a field, and I felt the Spirit so strongly. I couldn’t deny it was the Spirit, because I had already felt it.

"The gospel is what gives meaning to my life—it’s what gives my life purpose. Since that time, I’ve learned that I’m not alone in this life, that I really do have a purpose.” — Joaquin

"Let me assure you that you do not need to physically visit Jerusalem to feel the same things that we felt that day and have many times since.

"You can have that knowledge and confirmation by the Spirit when you study the life of our Savior, the restoration of the priesthood, and the return of the sealing keys by Elijah that unite our families for eternity. You can feel by the surety of spiritual confirmation that our Savior accomplished the Father’s plan. He atoned for our sins and broke the bands of death so that we might return to the Father and the Son in the celestial kingdom." —Elder Quentin L. Cook, general conference, April 2026

“I grew up in a big family with a mix of cultures, a lot of performing, and a love for sports. Community was always important to me. When I moved across the country for grad school, I thought I knew exactly who I was. But being far from home, surrounded by new voices and new expectations, forced me to ask myself harder questions about identity, faith, and what I really believed.

I had always felt grounded in the Church, but when I came here, something shifted. I felt a disconnect, almost a resistance. I knew that reading my scriptures or praying could help me feel something, but I wasn’t ready to go there. I pushed back. I tried to figure everything out on my own.

But the questions didn't go away. And eventually I realized that the wrestle doesn't have to be done alone. It can be something you bring to God.

A few months ago, I opened my scriptures again after a long time. It was small and simple, but it reminded me that tiny spiritual steps still carry real power. Mental health and faith aren’t the same thing, but they affect each other. And sometimes you need help in one area so you can feel God in the other.

Being here in Boston has tested me, but it’s also taught me that God’s light shows up even when I feel far away. And I’ve learned that I don’t have to wait for the future to feel His love. I can choose to feel it now. I can choose to be happy now.

I’m still learning, still asking questions, still figuring things out. But I’m doing it with God instead of by myself. And that has made all the difference.”—Casey

“And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them…

“But Jesus said unto them, They need not depart; give ye them to eat.” (Matthew 14:14-16)

Just as Jesus Christ sought to feed the hungry, we strive to follow his example and feed those around the world who suffer from hunger every day.

“Whenever we do anything to bring relief to others—temporal or spiritual—we are bringing them the love of Jesus Christ and will be blessed to find our own relief in Him.”—President Camille N. Johnson, Relief Society General Presidency

In the spring of 1829, David Whitmer received a letter from Joseph Smith asking him to come to Harmony to help him and Oliver move to the Whitmer farm. At the time, David was in the middle of preparing his fields for the coming season. He still had 20 acres to plow, so he decided he’d do his plowing before traveling to Harmony. However, when he got up in the morning, he saw that “between five and seven acres of my ground had been plowed during the night. I don’t know who did it, but it was done just as I would have done it myself and the plow was left standing in the furrow” (Joseph F. Smith letter to John Taylor, Sept. 17, 1878, Church History Library, Salt Lake City). This miracle allowed David to go to Harmony to fetch Joseph and Oliver sooner.

On this day in 1830, The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints was reorganized at the Whitmer Farm. Around 50 people met at the Whitmer Home and witnessed as Joseph Smith and Oliver Cowdery ordained each other elders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. With the people still gathered, Joseph Smith received a revelation, now known as Doctrine and Covenants 21, which taught the new Church to keep a history, called Joseph Smith as a leader, and explained the responsibilities of those who belong to the Church.

When Joseph Smith received the gold plates from the , he also received tools that would help him translate the Book of Mormon. The Whitmer Farm was one of the places where he utilized these tools. Oliver Cowdery, who worked as Joseph’s scribe, said that Joseph “dictated by the inspiration of heaven. … Day after day I continued, uninterrupted, to write from his mouth, as he translated, with the Urim and Thummim, or, as the Nephites would have said, ‘Interpreters’” (Messenger and Advocate, 1:14). These objects, along with a seer stone that other scribes described him using, were conduits of heaven’s powers that allowed Joseph Smith to translate.

When Reverend Diedrich Willers learned that the Whitmers, members of Willers’s German Reformed congregation, had begun to associate with Joseph Smith Jr., he confronted Peter Whitmer Sr. “I called upon Mr. Whitmer,” Willers recounted later, “in order to remonstrate with him and to warn him of the errors and delusions and the false doctrine promulgated by these men. My conversation, however, apparently made no impression upon him, his only reply to my arguments being the repeated quotation in the German language of the words: ‘Jesus Christ, yesterday, today, and forever.’”
