HOHENFELS TRAINING AREA, Germany – Soldiers assigned to the 2nd Mobile Brigade Combat Team (MBCT) ‘STRIKE,’ 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) continue to pave the way for the U.S. Army’s Transformation in Contact (TiC) initiative as they prepare to execute Combined Resolve 26-1. Over the last nine months, 2/101 built readiness and lethality by progressing from team-level training to a culminating combined arms live fire exercise (CALFX) to validate formations prior to their Joint Multinational Readiness Center (JMRC) training rotation.

U.S. assigned to 1st Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment advance towards their objective at Joint Multinational Readiness Center's Training Area, , Oct. 21. JMRC's opposing forces offered a real-world experience for exercise participants as the notional enemy, challenging the tactics and procedures. The Hohenfels Training Area is a key location in Europe, critical to sustaining the ability to respond when needed. The U.S. Army is engaged, postured, and ready with credible force and training to assure, deter, and defend in an increasingly complex security environment.
