NFPRHA advances and elevates the importance of family planning in the nation’s health care system and promotes and supports the work of family planning providers and administrators, especially those in the safety net. Founded in 1971, NFPRHA is a non-partisan 501(c)(3) membership association dedicated to protecting and expanding access to affordable, high-quality, and culturally sensitive family p

lanning and sexual health care services for all, regardless of income or insurance status. NFPRHA’s membership represents the broad spectrum of health care professionals providing subsidized care to low-income, under-insured, and uninsured patients in the states and territories – state and local health departments, hospitals, family planning councils, federally qualified health centers, Planned Parenthood affiliates, and other private non-profit agencies. On behalf of its diverse membership, NFPRHA is the preeminent national advocate for the family planning safety net sustained by Medicaid and the Title X (ten) family planning program and supports the ability of its members to provide their patients with the family planning education and care they need to make the best health care choices for themselves and their loved ones.

The research is clear: s*x education supports healthier relationships, better health outcomes, and safer communities. Parents support it, young people need it, and every community should have access to it. The time is now to make a reality.

The Title X family planning program is essential. The providers in its network are trusted by their patients, because the care they receive is evidence-based, high-quality, and confidential.

This op-ed in Cosmopolitan (written by NFPRHA's Elizabeth Jones) explains clearly how proposed changes to fertility care for could make things worse, especially for people with low incomes. https://www.cosmopolitan.com/lifestyle/a71098258/title-x-infertility-reproductive-rights/

What does s*x education actually teach?
Hint: it’s more than just "the talk" and it's NOT "teaching kids to have s*x"

It’s learning:
✅ how to set boundaries
✅ how to respect others
✅ how to spot misinformation
✅ how to have healthy relationships
✅ how to navigate puberty, identity, and growing up

From kindergarten through high school, age-appropriate + medically-accurate s*x ed gives young people the skills they need to thrive.

But in 2026, extremists are trying to erase this education entirely. We're not going to let that happen. This Month, join us in protecting the right to learn.

Let’s against misinformation with facts. Learn more here: https://s*xeducationcollaborative.org/s*x-ed-all-month/

Beacon Reproductive Health Network calls out blatant misinformation about the Title X program and shines a spotlight on the essential health services they administer in a powerful op-ed:

"In many communities, Title X providers are the only source of reproductive health care for miles."

In Missouri and every state, people need access to contraception, STI testing and treatment, cancer screenings, and other family planning and s*xual health services.

Reproductive health care services aren’t political talking points. They’re about the ability to plan for the future. | Opinion

Family planning and s*xual health providers are passionate about improving access to high quality care for ALL people in their communities, no matter their income level, identity, or circumstances.

Efforts towards this goal can only be achieved by recognizing and responding to systemic racism and all forms of oppression, including the unequal distribution of resources, which have created persistent health disparities.

Take a look at our recently released, comprehensive resource guide and assessment tool, "Improving Access and Quality for All," for some actionable steps for your health organization! https://tinyurl.com/yrw5yfpv

"Patients deserve support in understanding their bodies and exploring every path to building a family. If fully funded and grounded in evidence-based care, Title X could expand access to basic fertility care for those who need it most, including men, low-income patients, LGBTQIA+ people, and the underinsured. If reshaped to advance an ideological agenda, it risks falling even further short of that promise."

A phenomenal op-ed out in Cosmopolitan today by NFPRHA's Elizabeth Jones.

We need Title X funding to help low-income and uninsured people access reproductive care.

Thank you, Representative Degette (D-CO), for your unwavering support for access to contraception and s*xual health care for ALL—including people with low incomes and other barriers to care.

When Secretary Kennedy was unwilling to discuss the Title X family planning program, Rep. Degette brought to light how this public health program provides essential services for millions of people.

Title X should be expanded, not eliminated.
