Congratulations to Lila Leisey of ELCO High School for earning first place in this year’s Congressional Art Competition with her piece, Keystone State. Lila’s artwork was an outstanding representation of Pennsylvania’s 9th District during America’s 250th celebration and will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for the next year.
I also want to recognize Karina Aviles of Shenandoah Valley High School for earning second place with How Did We Get Here? and Ariel Hall of Williamsport Area High School for earning third place with Liberty Lives. Karina’s artwork will be displayed in my Washington, D.C. office, while Ariel’s will be showcased in my district office.
Congratulations to Lila, Karina, Ariel, and all of the students who participated. The talent and creativity displayed this year made the competition a tremendous success.
