I recently toured RCS Empowers in Sheboygan and was incredibly impressed by the work they’re doing to empower individuals with disabilities and special needs.

For more than 70 years, RCS has helped connect people with meaningful employment opportunities, build independence, and strengthen our communities.

Their work is a great example of what can happen when we focus on dignity, opportunity, and the value every person brings to the workforce.

178 years ago today, Wisconsin became the 30th state in the Union. From our farmers and manufacturers to our small businesses and hardworking families, Wisconsin’s values and hard work continue to make our state strong.

This Police Week, we pause to honor the heroes behind the badge who run toward danger to protect our communities.

I joined fellow members of the Law Enforcement Caucus at the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial to remember the brave officers who gave their lives in the line of duty. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

America is safer because of the men and women in blue.

I appreciated the chance to speak with juniors at Mishicot High School.

We covered my role in Congress and took a great round of student questions on how government works and what public service looks like in practice.

On Mother’s Day, I’m especially grateful for my mother, Joan, who taught me the importance of hard work, honesty, and doing what’s right.

Those lessons have stayed with me throughout my life and continue to guide my service in Congress.
