As both a physician and a legislator, my primary commitment to the safety and well-being of individuals has been rooted in basic common sense. We are seeing a disturbing trend where radical ideologies have overtaken evidence-based medicine, causing irreversible and terrible damage. Insurance companies that paid for these procedures should be on the hook when the life-long complications arise.

Choosing a college is one of the most consequential decisions a student will make. When making that decision, students deserve the full picture.

My Time for Completion Act will help students make more informed decisions, find their ideal institution, and have the best chance to succeed.

Happy Pioneer Day, Utah.

Today we honor the grit and faith of the men and women who looked at the valley and saw a future worth building.

This should not only be a celebration, but a day of reflection, an inheritance we measure our daily lives against. A day like today should ask each of us what we have done with what we are given.

Watch my speech where I honor the pioneers and reflect on our place in the work they began.

Tonight we passed the Stop Insider Trading Act: an important step forward in restoring faith and trust in Congress.

Congress’s focus should belong entirely on serving constituents and bettering America, so I’m glad to pass this common sense bill and keep moving forward.

Today I addressed the House floor to express condolences for the sudden passing of Captain Spencer Long of the Provo Fire Department, his wife, Katrina, and their three sons.

To all that knew and loved them, including their daughter who is still with us, we offer our prayers and unwavering support and ask that the strength of our community surround her.

The backbone of a free and strong economy is the local business owner. House Republicans know that supporting Main Street institutions is one of the most effective ways to lower costs and secure long-term stability for American families.

I am a co-sponsor of this bill. I appreciate Rep. French Hill Chairman of the House Financial Services Committee for his dedicated leadership on this issue, and am honored to join him in this fight for affordability and economic opportunity.

The Stop Insider Trading Act, which I co-lead, hits the House floor this week.

From the start, this has been a matter of common sense to me.

Our focus belongs entirely on serving constituents and bettering America. Let’s get the Stop Insider Trading Act one step closer to the President’s desk.

This weekend, I visited the command post for the Babylon Fire in San Juan County and heard directly from the local leaders managing the response.

I am deeply grateful for their dedication to protecting our district and the people of Utah.
It is absolutely clear to me that their expertise must drive federal decisions from the ground up.

Utahns will be here when the crews go home. Utahns will be looking at that scarred ground for years. And Utahns will ultimately have to live with the decisions that are made.

There are too few people in Congress who understand what this county and state are going through. My job is to make them understand it, and then to get them to do something about it.

It was a pleasure to hike with a group of Utahns who care deeply about our state’s public lands.

The best solutions come from thoughtful conversations like the ones we had today.

I appreciate their commitment to preserving the landscapes that make our state so special.

It was a busy and rewarding week back home in Utah.

I had the chance to meet with constituents in communities all over UT-03. I heard your priorities firsthand and saw the great work happening in the district.

These weeks on the ground are critical so I can bring your voices and priorities back to D.C..

Grateful to everyone who took the time to work with me this week
