Trucker Strike 2024

Trucker Strike 2024 We are professional drivers, and there needs to be some changes in the industry we chose as a career.

We are unappreciated, underpaid, overworked, and have so many regulations on us, you would think we lived in a police state.

How accurate do you think this is?

I posted this, (because i did hear it on the CB) and someone answered in the way I expected:

"My husband had a stroke 10 years ago. He can't work. Both our insurance plans denied paying for the bulk of hospital bills. We pretty much lost everything.

Cut to 2019, I ALONE pay for all the bills. I am a company driver. I CANNOT afford to strike. Reality is a bit more dense and complicated than the stereotypes. "

This is exactly WHY we need to go on strike. Force the carriers to pay respectable wages, AND health insurance.

I can't afford to sit at home and not work either, but I'm willing to legally do what needs to be done to get our point across.

Should we join the teamsters? Maybe.
Should we form our own union? Maybe
Should be do this to make our discontent known and force changes to benefit us as drivers? Yes.

We need to come together as drivers to do this, and get this done.

For those of you who say we can't agree on anything, I think we can agree that companies are taking advantage of us drivers, and we're tired of it.

So I heard something on the radio, and went to the fb page. Someone is trying to organize a strike to get the DOT/FMCSA/PUCO to change the rules....

Allegedly, the two former execs "face decades in prison". I'm willing to bet the title to my truck that they will buy their way out of the prison system, while the drivers are faced with uncertainty in their future.

Anyone want to take me up on that?

Former Celadon Chief Operating Officer William Eric Meek, 39, and Chief Financial Officer Bobby Lee Peavler, 40, were arrested Thursday morning.

I've been a bit busy with work, and I really would appreciate some help getting this page out there. 3 days of shutting down and we'd get changes made. Please comment, like, and share this page to get it out there!
