American ranchers work diligently to do more with less, weather volatile markets, and provide a safe food supply. We must work together to deliver certainty for American cattle producers while continuing to deliver safe, affordable, and high-quality beef.

Today, Rep. Adrian Smith and I led over 50 of our colleagues in calling for expanded markets and certainty for American cattle ranchers.

Intervention in the market cycle, especially at a time when U.S. producers are making marketing decisions, threatens to pick winners and losers and undermine the long-term viability of family-owned cattle operations throughout the supply chain.

Thank you President Donald J. Trump, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Lee Zeldin, and Assistant Administrator Jess Kramer for following up on your commitment to fix the broken WOTUS rule, work against federal overreach, and protect our water, land, and communities.

Today’s announcement is the culmination of work which started right here in North Dakota at the first WOTUS listening session, where Kramer kicked off the review of the WOTUS rule. Now, we have another opportunity to ensure a legal durable rule and clarity needed within the confines of the law following the Supreme Court’s landmark Sackett decision. I encourage North Dakotans to submit comments and make their voices heard. Let’s get this done.

EPA and the U.S. Department of the Army announced a Supplemental Notice of Proposed Rulemaking to gather public input on additional regulatory language for defining “waters of the United States” (WOTUS) to be considered alongside the 2025 proposed rule.

This is a win for North Dakota, a win for affordable and reliable power, and a step in the right direction for American energy security. The Biden administration completely disregarded the role states are given under the Clean Air Act and second-guessed North Dakota’s plan to protect clean air while keeping reliable power on the grid. North Dakota developed a responsible plan to improve visibility in our national parks and wilderness areas without imposing unnecessary costs on the families and businesses who depend on affordable, reliable electricity. U.S. Environmental Protection Agency's proposal recognizes state leadership matters, puts sensibility back into regional haze policy and, importantly, helps keep our baseload power online.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) today proposed reversing a Biden-era decision which partially rejected North Dakota’s regional haze plan, moving instead to fully approve the state’s strategy, based on the principles of cooperative federalism and the Clean Air Act.

I’ve seen what the Happy Hooligans can do. The 119th Wing North Dakota Air National Guard’s recognition of their excellence at the annual National Guard Association of the United States - NGAUS conference is well deserved. These honors reflect the skill, discipline, and dedication our airmen bring to every mission.

Sharing additional photos from today’s visit with U.S. Army Secretary Mike Obadal. The leadership at the Pentagon is discovering that they can trust our personnel to understand the mission, evaluate the risks, and then take a chance and lead the way.

U.S. Army Under Secretary Obadal’s visit today is about more than showcasing what North Dakota can do. It’s an opportunity to demonstrate how we can work together to move innovation from the lab to the battlefield faster. There is something to be said for our remoteness and isolation breeding innovation. It’s part of North Dakota’s DNA and always has been. The leadership at the Pentagon is discovering that they can trust our personnel to understand the mission, evaluate the risks, and then take a chance and lead the way.

President Donald J. Trump’s approval of this disaster declaration will provide much needed support as North Dakota communities continue recovering from these severe storms, and we appreciate the president's action to make these federal resources available. This assistance will help repair damaged infrastructure and support recovery efforts across the impacted counties.

When I met with North Dakota’s teacher of the year Frannie Tunseth from May-Port CG in February, she invited me to her classroom—so today dropped by and watched her teach before visiting with her students. While it’s true the kids in big states like California may never get to meet their Senators, the more important point is the Senators may not get to meet the kids, see how they are taught, what their classrooms are like or how much they are loved.
Thank you, Mrs. Tunseth, for all you do.

We’re coming up on what might be the biggest lame-duck session ever, so I appreciate the opportunity to talk about it with Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce members.

The system our Founding Fathers set up gives North Dakota the opportunity for access and makes it a two-way street. You're an invaluable part of the process. Thank you for arranging this forum where I can hear from you, learn what’s on your mind, and find solutions together.

Strong missions are built on the people behind them. Today I had the opportunity to spend time with the airmen of the 119th Wing North Dakota Air National Guard and hear about the work they’re doing to support our national security.

Their expertise, discipline, and commitment to the mission are a credit to the Wing and to the Air National Guard. I’m grateful for their service and the work they do every day.
