The Cuban government announces a major private sector expansion, allowing small private businesses to operate in over 2,000 fields, eliminating their limited list of 127 activities.

In a major reform of the state-dominated economy, the Cuban government will allow small private businesses to operate in most fields, eliminating its limited list of activities, state-run media reported on Saturday.

Secretary Pompeo’s political move to return Cuba to the SSOT list is the culmination of the Trump administration’s cruel & ineffective Cuba policy & will only result in further deteriorated bilateral relations & living conditions for the Cuban people.

Cuba was first placed on the list in 1982 under Reagan but was removed in 2015 by Obama as part of a normalization of relations.
