Today, modern challenges — including hyper-partisanship, money in politics, and struggling media — threaten the health of American democracy. The Democracy Fund invests in change makers whose ideas and energy can make a difference. We advocate for solutions that can bring lasting improvements to our political system and we build bridges that help people come together to serve our nation. Since our

founding, the Democracy Fund has invested more than $30 million to support a healthy democracy through three programs:

- Vibrant Media & the Public Square: Supporting innovations and institutions that help people understand and participate in the democratic process.

- Modern Elections & the Role of Money in Politics: Supporting bipartisan solutions that ensure that the views of the public come first in our democracy.

- Principled Leadership & Effective Governance: Supporting approaches that help our elected leaders deliberate, negotiate, and serve the American people.
