Greg Abbott is a coward.

For 90 days, he refused to extradite an ICE agent charged with shooting a man through his front door and lying about it. Abbott ran out the clock, and the agent walked free.

Now even Donald Trump’s own Justice Department is charging the agent with lying about the shooting.

We warned Abbott and demanded he act. Instead, he refused to hold an ICE agent accused of firing into a home with children inside accountable.

Abbott owes Texans and Minnesotans an explanation for why he refused to act when he had the chance.

The charges marked a rare instance of President Trump’s Justice Department accusing a federal agent of breaking the law while on the job.

From my organizing days in college at Texas Woman’s University to a recent phone call about the Equal Rights Amendment, Gloria Steinem was someone I always looked up to.

Through it all, she remained passionate, considerate, and deeply committed to her feminist principles. She was one of the few people I’ve known who truly didn’t have a prejudiced bone in her body.

A true humanist, Gloria believed in and lived the American Dream and worked to ensure it for others.

I will miss her voice, her wisdom, and her unwavering commitment to equality.

Trump’s war with Iran is costing working families more than $600 in higher fuel costs. That's money that could have gone toward school supplies, groceries, or medicine.

It's time to end this illegal war.

On the House floor today, I demanded answers for Lorenzo Salgado Araujo.

ICE shot and killed an unarmed man who wasn’t their target and had no criminal record. It’s unconscionable.

His family deserves the truth. The public deserves accountability.

We need an independent investigation and justice for the Salgado family.

What a proud moment for Latinos across our country.

Our history is American history, and now the National Museum of the American Latino will have a permanent home on the National Mall.

This moment has been years in the making, and I’m so proud of everyone who fought to make it possible. ¡Sí se pudo!

Regents voted to put the museum in an existing 145-year-old building instead of constructing a new one, which would require congressional approval.

A whistleblower says the Trump Administration is rushing ahead with a deeply flawed ballot-screening system that could put millions of Americans’ votes at risk.

Our elections belong to the people, not the convicted felon in the White House.

We must protect our elections, defend vote-by-mail, and make sure every American can exercise their right to vote.

A report detailed “grave concerns” that a new system being rushed into use by the U.S. Postal Service could imperil millions of mail ballots ahead of the midterm elections.
