It was an honor to host a celebratory dinner in honor of the Class of 2030 Service Academy Appointees from Missouri’s 2nd District and their families. I have the utmost respect for these twelve remarkable young men and women and their dedication to serving our country. Congratulations to each of them as they begin this next chapter!

The Parkway School District ranks among the best in the state and the country. Over the years, I have enjoyed working with its leadership to support our local students as they learn and grow into a smart, well-educated next generation.

Superintendent Dr. Melissa Schneider is continuing their commitment to educational excellence and I look forward to partnering with her in the future.

One of the major ways to eliminate the power of the criminal networks that traffic victims worldwide is to disrupt the horrific demand fueling the international s*x trade. This is a global issue, and it requires a global response

The United States is the most powerful nation in the world, and we must use that power to bring accountability against foreign countries that do not take the necessary steps to extinguish s*x trafficking and protect victims who need our help.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) released the following statement after she introduced the bipartisan S*x Trafficking Demand Reduction Act with Congresswoman Virginia Foxx (R-NC) and Congresswoman Madeleine Dean (D-PA):

The members of our law enforcement community in the St. Louis area are some of the best in the country. I’m glad Steve Lewis, a West County police veteran, has taken the role of US Marshal for the Eastern District of Missouri. Marshal Lewis will be tasked with bringing fugitives to justice and making sure our federal courthouses run smoothly in partnership with the judicial branch. Thank you to Steve for inviting me to his swearing in ceremony.

This Memorial Day, we remember all the heroic men and women who have lost their lives defending our nation.

There is no higher calling than serving our country, and we will never forget those who paid the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. I visited the Chesterfield Veterans Memorial to honor the fallen.

Today the Intelligence Committee held a hearing on the national security reforms we’ve made since the 9/11 Commission Report.

Like so many Americans, I still vividly remember where I was on September 11th. Almost twenty-five years later, the world has changed. But our mission remains the same.

Our adversaries are more advanced, their tactics have evolved, and their capabilities have matured. To ensure the safety of the American people, our Intelligence Community must adapt faster.

Watch our open committee hearing here.

Over the years I have been a major advocate for our greater St. Louis area veterans and the facilities that care for them. They deserve the very best and I have fought for them every step of the way, from the federal level at the Department of Veterans Affairs and with VA Chair Mike Bost, to the state and local levels to make sure our veterans get world-class treatment.

Just last year I toured the facility with Veterans Affairs Secretary Doug Collins to show him firsthand how important the John Cochran Hospital is to our Missouri veterans, and detail exactly what upgrades are needed and why. I am grateful this ongoing work has led to passage of this legislation to authorize $1.76 billion to build new spaces to provide health care and update existing facilities to better serve veterans in the greater St. Louis region.

Our veterans answered the call of duty to defend our very freedoms, and we are forever grateful for the sacrifices they have made to defend the United States. It is our responsibility as Americans to ensure those who have served receive high quality medical care, and this bill will surge critical funding to modernize John Cochran and expand the facilities, including a new bed tower to increase capacity, a dedicated mental health and substance abuse clinic, and other vital infrastructure.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO) released the following statement after she voted in support of S. 2393 to fund construction and modernization at John J. Cochran Veterans Hospital in St. Louis:

This is commonsense, family first legislation that lowers costs and increases access to the American dream of home ownership.

By getting rid of wasteful regulatory barriers, communities in the greater St. Louis region will be able to build the housing they need to address the high cost of living.

Missouri families are feeling the pinch of housing costs, and my House colleagues and I stepped up to streamline home construction and help parents get an affordable mortgage on a house they love.

This bill also cuts red tape and allows banks to deploy more capital into their communities, freeing up funding that Missourians can use to finance a home purchase or start a business.

Today’s legislation is the end result of months of bipartisan work to make life easier for our friends and loved ones looking to find a home and I am proud to support it.

Stable and affordable housing is crucial to supporting families as they grow the next generation, and this legislation achieves that goal.

Washington, D.C. – Congresswoman Ann Wagner (R-MO), Chair of the Financial Services Subcommittee on Capital Markets, released the following statement on the bipartisan amendment to the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act:
