Despite mounting evidence of Secretary Clinton's mishandling of classified information at the State Department, the FBI has reached the conclusion that Hillary won't face criminal charges. This is a gross injustice for the American people whose security she jeopardized by sending classified information over a private email server. Secretary Clinton has proven to the public that she cannot be trusted to keep us safe. We need leaders with integrity, and they must know that they will be held accountable for their actions, period.

The F.B.I. informed Congress on Sunday that it had reviewed newly discovered emails and not changed its conclusions about Mrs. Clinton’s use of a private server.

It seems like we receive new information every day detailing the level of corruption at the State Department during Hillary Clinton’s tenure as Secretary of State. The FBI must do right by the American people and investigate these allegations to the fullest extent of the law. Secretary Clinton must be held accountable for her actions just like every other American. No one – not even the Clintons – are above the law.

This acquisition will allow CenturyLink to become even more competitive in bringing jobs to Louisiana. I am proud to see the continued growth of CenturyLink and will continue to fight to keep the American Dream alive in Louisiana.

This afternoon I had the opportunity to tour the new VA Community-Based Outpatient Clinic that will provide enhanced health care services to veterans in Lafayette and the surrounding communities. Our nation owes a debt of gratitude to those who have sacrificed to protect our freedoms. This has been a long time coming, and I am thrilled this clinic will soon be serving Acadiana’s veterans.

Yesterday, the Obama Administration announced that health care will once again become more expensive in 2017. This is yet another indication that the Affordable Care Act has made health care anything but affordable. What's becoming even clearer is this law is not sustainable. Obamacare’s failures have led to more money coming out of the pockets of hard-working Americans. We must replace Obamacare with patient-centered policies that drive market-based, competitive pricing before it’s too late.

But today, small business startups are the lowest they have been in decades and our economy isn't growing. The United States is set to export more natural gas than it will import for the first time in 60 years. South Louisiana's Sabine Pass terminal is playing a pivotal role in the exporting of natural gas. I am proud to have worked with Cheniere to make this dream a reality.
