Yesterday, I toured JM Eagle’s PVC pipe manufacturing facility and met with the hardworking employees who keep its operations running.

It was great to see the manufacturing process firsthand and learn more about how the products made right here in Western Pennsylvania support infrastructure projects across the country.

Thank you to the JM Eagle team for welcoming me and for your continued investment in American manufacturing and our local workforce!

On Wednesday, we had a great meeting with first responders from Harmony, and we toured one of the newest small businesses in Butler County, Keystone Veterinary Care in Slippery Rock.

I also joined the Butler Radio Network to discuss my latest work in Washington and our recent visit with manufacturers and small businesses across Butler County. My legislation, The Promotion and Expansion of Private Employee Ownership Act, creates jobs, builds retirement wealth, and promotes business growth.

Employee-owned businesses give workers a direct stake in their company’s success while strengthening our local economy.

On Friday, I toured three employee-owned companies in Butler County—Nicklas Supply, Penn United Technologies, and FBC Chemical Corporation—to hear firsthand how Employee Stock Ownership Plans benefit workers, improve employee retention, and support long-term growth.

I’m proud to champion employee ownership in Congress through legislation that would expand access to ESOPs and help more hardworking Americans share in the success they help create. Thank you to each company for welcoming us!

On Thursday, my team and I had the great honor of presenting Butler County Community College with a Congressional Commendation to mark their 60th anniversary. BC3 has served generations of students, and they continue to develop the workforce that serves our region.

We also visited Sysco's Harmony facility to discuss important policies related to small businesses, supply chains, and more.

Our annual Veteran Resource Fair is next week, Thursday, Aug. 6, in Meadville!

Currently, the U.S. accounts for less than 1% of global commercial shipbuilding market share while China accounts for more than 53%.

My new legislation, the Shipbuilding Investment and Workforce Act, would allow for more ships to be produced here at home. It could be a game changer for places like Erie.
