My top priority is keeping our government open and serving the American people, especially the hardworking families, veterans, and seniors here in Tennessee’s Third District. Shutting down the government is never the answer. Passing a continuing resolution is a responsible and commonsense step that prevents unnecessary hardship and ensures our military, border security, and essential services are funded while Congress continues to negotiate a long-term solution. I cannot support actions that would jeopardize the well-being of my constituents or our nation’s security.

The Army’s initiative to advance microreactor development is a tremendous win for American energy security.

I’m thrilled to see our nation continue leading the way in deploying safe, reliable nuclear technology that will support our military and bring high-tech jobs and new opportunities to our communities.

The U.S. Army has announced plans to add nuclear microreactors at five military bases from New York to Texas as a reliable energy source independent of the commercial electric grid.
