H.E. David Kerich, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the United States, welcomed a vibrant gathering of young professionals to the Embassy of the Republic of Kenya in Washington, D.C., for an evening of engagement, networking, and dialogue on future partnerships between Kenya and the United States. He highlighted Kenya as one of Africa’s most dynamic and forward looking economies, driven by innovation, entrepreneurship, a youthful and highly skilled population, and a thriving private sector.

The Ambassador showcased Kenya’s global leadership in innovation, including the transformative impact of M-Pesa and Nairobi’s emergence as the renowned Silicon Savannah, while underscoring the country’s immense opportunities across technology, agriculture, clean energy, healthcare, tourism, education, creative industries, and investment. H.E. David Kerich, Ambassador of the Republic of Kenya to the United States, engaged the Washington Intergovernmental Professional Group (WIPG), led by its Founder and President, Mr. Nelson Garcia, in a forward looking dialogue focused on strengthening Kenya–United States strategic, economic, and commercial cooperation.

The Ambassador highlighted Kenya’s transformation as one of Africa’s most diversified free market economies, underscoring significant progress in trade connectivity, investment reforms, and emerging opportunities across key sectors. He shared the vast and untapped trade potential between the two countries, observing that even a modest increase in Kenya’s share of U.S. imports would generate substantial mutual economic benefit.

The discussions also explored future collaboration in innovation, artificial intelligence, and structured skills mobility in critical sectors including healthcare, ICT, and renewable energy. The Embassy team will provide services from Friday May 1, 2026 through Sunday May 3, 2026 at Neema Community Church, located at 621 S Lee Ave, Olathe, KS 66061 in Kansas City.

Kenyans in Kansas City and surrounding areas are encouraged to take full advantage of this opportunity to access passport and ID processing, document certification, and other key consular services. This initiative underscores the Embassy’s continued commitment to enhancing service delivery, strengthening diaspora engagement, and ensuring that government services remain accessible, efficient, and responsive to the needs of Kenyans abroad.
