Government transparency isn’t new—it’s in the Constitution! US National Archives

📜 Article I, Section 9, Clause 7 requires a “regular Statement and Account” of public funds.

Following that mandate, the first Account of Receipts & Expenditures was published by the U.S. Treasury in 1791.

👏 And a shout-out to U.S. Census Bureau for conducting the census every 10 years—the other federal data collection required by the Constitution.
