We’re thrilled to join in on the celebration of this week’s CHEER Champion: our very own USBC Board Chair, Tiana Pyles!

Tiana's leadership, dedication, and commitment to advancing breastfeeding support and equity continue to strengthen our movement and inspire our community. We’re so grateful for all that she brings to this work and proud to see her contributions recognized!

Tiana E.H. Pyles, MHA, CLC, grew up in a family where breastfeeding was tradition—passed down through three generations of mothers before her. Now a proud mother of four, Tiana has spent her career turning that inherited sense of strength and heritage into work that reaches far beyond her own household. ♥️ Learn more about our at cheerequity.org/champions

It's Black Breastfeeding Week! The 2026 Black Breastfeeding Week (B*W) theme is "We All We Got: 14 Years of Community, Care, and Collective Power." B*W is celebrated annually from August 25-31. The observance was developed as a response to the high black infant mortality rate, the lack of diversity in the lactation field, and unique cultural barriers among Black women, and shines a light on efforts and initiatives that support breastfeeding among Black families.
